Your Avatar Reveals Your True Character

The Language of Images: Understanding People Through Avatars

A professor once said, “Aesthetics determines a person’s height. It’s hard to imagine a photo interpreting someone’s character.” Even though it’s just a photo, it reveals a person’s true thoughts.

Recently, a famous writer changed their avatar. The new avatar was particularly beautiful, exuding a rural life atmosphere.

Because of this avatar, I read all of their works. I found that both their avatar and literary creations displayed an elegant scene.

Avatars sometimes reveal a person’s aspirations and moods. From these, you can judge a person’s character.

If you carefully observe someone’s avatar, you can also gauge their character.

People’s online posts may be processed, and they may hide things while chatting. However, their avatar exposes their true character.

Fake people dare not face their true selves. Some people use someone else’s avatar to pretend to be someone else.

For example, a middle school classmate once did this. She met a handsome person online and changed her avatar to his, trying to deceive him.

She made the other person believe she looked like the avatar. They planned to meet, but she backed out when the time came.

When he visited her city, she hid and didn’t meet him. Running away when someone came all this way to see you shows you deceived them.

This behavior exposed her character. Pretending to be someone else reveals a person’s poor character.

When she realized she was about to be exposed, she lied again, showing she’s not worth befriending.

Imagine if she had faced her true self, maybe they could have been a couple. But she didn’t, causing harm to both the other person and herself.

People who argue and then change their avatar are shallow. Some people like to argue and then change their avatar, showing revengeful images.

There’s a saying, “It’s hard to defend against petty people.” Some hold grudges after arguments and change their avatar to seek revenge.

These people are truly petty and shallow. Those with depth don’t display their thoughts on their avatar for all to see.

Although changing avatars to provoke others may feel satisfying, it’s actually a shallow act.

A true gentleman knows what to say in front of others and bears no grudges after an argument.

Pictures, like words, express a person’s inner thoughts. A single word can’t express one’s inner self, but a picture can, as it’s worth a million words.

Pictures can show a person’s inner world, which is why the earliest form of writing used images.

Today, everyone has an avatar on social media, which is the first thing you see when adding someone.

Sometimes you can judge a person’s gender, age, and character from their avatar. In fact, you can sometimes judge their character just from their avatar.

Avatars reflect a person’s true inner world and the evaluation they hope to receive from others.

When people communicate, they may have reservations, so they may not speak sincerely. But putting up your avatar is done without affecting others, so it often reveals your true thoughts.

Avatars often expose a person’s true thoughts. If you want to understand someone, look at their avatar. Through it, you may better understand their character.
