Today, let’s talk about life instead of emotions.
The hardest part of life is being true to yourself. We all want to live the way we want, but we often care too much about society’s opinions and end up becoming someone we dislike.
Just before writing this article, I saw a malicious comment. Instead of replying, I chose to block the person.
In the past, I might have engaged or felt guilty about blocking someone, but now I realize it’s unnecessary. I’ve learned to focus my time on meaningful things and block out negative energy to protect my peace of mind.
This change signifies growth, a growth that took many years to achieve.
Growing or maturing is breaking through your old self, allowing you to encounter a new you.
Many struggle with this on the journey of life.
Whether from upbringing or personal beliefs, we often have a set way of dealing with the world. Life’s challenges repeatedly show us that our methods might be flawed.
Realizing this is the first step; changing yourself is the second. Some may not even have reached the first step.
For example, when facing a bad person, you may try to reason with them, hoping they’ll change. But reality might repeatedly prove you wrong, and the person might take advantage of your kindness.
In such moments, what will you think and do?
Many stick to their old ways, failing to see the problem or find a solution.
What’s needed is breaking free from your old self and trying a different approach, like learning to fight back. But the fear of conflict or using unfamiliar methods holds them back, leading to worse outcomes.
Ultimately, it all comes down to character—character shapes destiny, doesn’t it make sense now?
Our destiny, within our control, is largely influenced by our character—our upbringing and education are beyond our control. However, how we handle events, perceive them, and solve problems is up to us.
Growing up is about finding a path based on your experiences, regardless of others’ opinions. The endpoint is becoming the person you aspire to be.
The key in life is not the people or events you encounter but the choices you make afterward. Happiness often hinges on critical decisions. Yet, for too long, others might have made those choices for you. Have you ever made a brave choice on your own?
Behind every choice lies responsibility. Lack of courage to choose stems from fear of shouldering responsibilities.
Thus, maturity is shown by daring to choose and taking responsibility.
Life is a tough journey. No one’s life is smooth sailing, and that’s where its meaning lies. Many say life is like a game. Remember, the greater the challenge, the more fulfilling it is to overcome.
So, facing life’s obstacles is to give this life profound meaning after enduring numerous challenges.
Today’s discussion may seem chaotic, but I believe some will understand.
