Buddha said: Everything that happens to us is predetermined, and it’s all about karma. Karma arises, karma perishes, and everything is predetermined by heaven.

This is a typical Buddhist saying about fate, but some things are beyond our control because they were set in motion before we were born.

It’s like meeting someone at a certain stage of your life, and the things that happen between you two are already predetermined.

Sometimes these things are beyond our control, like being born into a rich family with powerful parents, or being born into poverty and struggling to survive.

These are things we’re given at birth, and they’re beyond our control.

Although we can’t control our past fate, our future fate is in our own hands.

So, is your fate good or bad? It’s not about your family background, but these three things.

There are many things in life that are beyond our control, like our parents or friends, and we need to experience them for ourselves or strive for them ourselves.

Do You Help Others?

“Be kind to others, and help them without expecting anything in return.”

Sometimes when others need help, we don’t lend a hand, but these things are just a small effort for us.

Society has become increasingly cold, and sometimes we find that others need help, but we’re too lazy to care. When we think this way, it’s because society has become cold, and our sense of security has decreased.

However, despite the coldness of society, there are still many kind people who help others without expecting anything in return. These people don’t seek recognition, and their names are often unknown.

Helping others isn’t about giving them money or material things; sometimes it’s just a kind reminder, a sincere blessing, or genuine encouragement.

Kind words can make others feel comfortable, like when someone is at a low point in life and doesn’t know what to do. Instead of giving them a cold shoulder, some people offer helpful advice, and although the help may be intangible, it stays in the other person’s heart.

Do You Work Hard or Study Hard?

In the first 20 years of life, we spend most of our time in school, learning many things to enrich ourselves and prepare for society.

Some people work hard in school and find good jobs after graduating, which slightly improves their fate.

Others play games all day and never focus on their studies, so they might not even graduate, and finding a good job becomes difficult.

At work, some people think about how to get bonuses and promotions, while others try to take advantage of others and do less work while earning more.

Life won’t tolerate people who take advantage of others, and although you might gain some benefits now, you’ll pay a heavier price later.

Those who work hard and do their jobs diligently might not be noticed at first, but over time, they’ll get better and better.

You can’t always be a good person, but you should keep a clear head, do your job well, and get promoted in a legitimate way.

This way, you’ll do better and better in the future.

What’s Your Character Like?

Is your fate good or bad? It also depends on your character.

We often hear this phrase:

“Love begins with appearance, deepens with talent, and is loyal with character.”

At first, people are attracted to appearance, but as they get to know each other, they realize that what keeps them together is more than just surface-level.

Whether in work or love, if someone’s character is bad, they might get some benefits at first, but as time goes on, things will become difficult.

At an awards ceremony, Jin Xing asked Li Chen, “What attracts you to someone?”

Li Chen replied, “Character.”

Later, when Fan Bingbing’s scandal broke out, the two broke up. We can’t simply attribute their breakup to Li Chen’s view of Fan Bingbing’s character, but from his statement, we can see that he values character highly.
